All students

Hello everyone.
We are students from Phuoc Ngai Primary school.

Student 1

Today, we are going to talk about special holidays in Vietnam. We will talk about three holidays. They are Lunar New Year, Teachers’ Day, and Children’s Day.

Now, let’s start with Lunar new year!

Student 2

The first holiday is Lunar New Year, or Tet.
Tet is the biggest holiday in Vietnam. It’s in January or February.

Before Tet, families clean their houses and buy flowers to make the houses beautiful. Many families make bánh chưng or bánh tét for this holiday.

During Tet, people visit their grandparents and relatives. They give each other good wishes like “Happy New Year.” Children get lucky money. Families eat special food, take photos, and enjoy time together.

Tet is a happy holiday because all the members in family gather together and hope for a good beginning.

The second holiday is Teachers’ Day.
It’s on November 20th. This day is special because students can say “thank you” to their teachers. Teachers help us learn every day, so this holiday is a good time for us to show respect to them.

At school, students often sing songs, dance, or make cards. Many students give their teachers flowers or small gifts.

Teachers’ Day reminds us that teachers are important in our lives.

Student 2

One more holiday is Children’s Day, on June 1st.
This is a fun holiday for all children.

On this day, schools have games, shows, and small parties. Children often get toys, sweets, or balloons.

Many families take their children out for a meal. Children feel very happy because everyone wants them to have a great day.

Children’s Day helps people remember that children need love, care, and protection.

Student 1

To sum up, these three holidays are meaningful in Vietnam.
Lunar New Year is for families to gather together and welcome a new year.
Teachers’ Day is for students to show respect to their teachers.
and Children’s Day is for celebrating children.

These holidays bring joy to our lives and help us show love to the people around us.

That is the end of our talk.

Thank you for listening!
